Product features

Compound microscopes use a lens close to the object (the objective lens) to collect light and focus a real image of the object into them. That image is then magnified by a second lens (the eyepiece) that gives the viewer an enlarged inverted virtual image of the object. This kind of optical microscope with an objective/eyepiece combination is designed for allowing high magnification with a single lens: a simple magnifying glass can magnify an image by a relatively small factor (usually not more than 10x), while compound microscopes can reach greater magnification (30x in this case).

Operations

• Turn the light switch ON for illumination
• View the object through the eyepiece, placing the microscope’s front cover close to the object
• Adjust focus knob as needed.
