EM01 Quick Check
EM01 Quick Check – Compact tool that fits under your bench. At a touch of the operator, it checks if the ESD safe wrist-strap is correctly working and simoultaneously confirms the earth is present. This ensures that you are working according to IEC 61340-5 standard.
Method of use
To test, make finger contact with the stainless steel washer and push the button “PRESS TO TEST“:
- A green light will illuminate for “PASS”
- A red light will illuminate for “FAIL” and an audible buzzer will sound
- If the resistance through the wrist-strap and the operator exceeds 35 MOhms, the “HIGH FAIL” LED will light
- If the resistance is below 750 KOhms, the “LOW FAIL” LED will light
- If the 9 V PP3 battery falls below 6.5 V during the test, the yellow “BATTERY LOW” LED will light.
